Black Lives Matter Shuts Down Rap/Yoga Class

A yoga studio in Sacramento, California is cancelling a blended yoga and rap class after a protest from a local Black Lives Matter chapter.  The chapter protested outside Solfire Yoga Saturday arguing that a white woman using rap music to teach yoga amounts to cultural appropriation.  Tanya Faison, Sacramento BLM founder, said rap is traditionally a way for black people to talk about their pain and the group is just trying to get the studio to acknowledge what they're doing and be accountable.

The BLM tactic was so successful, one of the co-owners of the studio apologized and said some from the studio would participate in a racism class.
